MONÉ
When grapes turn into silk
The humidity
from the forest and the wind that sweeps this stretch of land make this land
more suitable for truffles than vines.
We have planted almost 2.4 acres of these northerly vineyards with vines
fromthree different clones of Chardonnay-a varietal capable of blooming in such
extreme territory. The planting density is 6.5 feet by 2 feet.
Monč is the white “cousin” of Renoir. It is living proof that a land of noble
reds can give birth to a silky white wine whose elegance and soft hues are
capable of seducing even the most demanding palate. Only 3,000 bottles of Monč
are produced each year. |
